SP CORE GUM – This is a Silicate base product. SP Core gum is used for core joining and mould joining application.

SP Core Gum is in paste form and having good binding properties.

It is often necessary to joint cores together to form assemblies, or to fix cores in moulds before closing the mould. This joint should have sufficient strength to withstand the metal flow at high temperature.

SP Core Gum is used as joining aid for cores and moulds. SP Core Gum should be applied to the joining part. This core should be air dried with Heating Gun for 1 -4 hrs. ; depending upon the humidity. After complete drying this cores use the material in production.

The physical properties of S P Core Gum are as follows :

  • Colour & Appearance : Reddish Paste
  • Specific Gravity : 1.53 to 1.60
  • Viscosity by B4 Cup on dilution : 100: 15 (P : W) : 30 secs. Min
  • Core joint Test : Satisfactory
