S P Mastic 2009 (Ceramic Fibrous insulating Paste )
This is fibrous ceramic insulating paste. The working temperature of the product is 800°C.
This is fibrous ceramic insulating paste. The working temperature of the is paste product is nearly 80eC It has good adhesive property to the substrate. In Aluminum Extrusion plant It can be applied on the launder system to fill the gap between the two ceramic shapes and notches created after the erosion by metal flow. It also can be used for the gap filling between the metal shell & ceramic shapes.
In Gravity Die casting process It gives good insulation to the riser cavity; which helps in Aluminum metal feeding & avoids Aluminum casting shrinkage. In gravity Die casting the Sp Mastic 2009 gives excellent properties to the casting.
Clean the surface of the substrate ( Launder / Die ) where the paste is to be applied. Take SP Mastic 2009 in a bucket & mull it properly by hand . Then apply the mulled mastic on the dust / rust free & cleaned surface. Heat the applied portion by heat gun for half an hour. Insure that the applied portion is free from moisture. Then polish the surface by polish paper till smoothness and apply insulating coat if require. After this process take the system for production.
