SP Cote – 140 is water base refractory cum insulating Die-cote for Gravity Die Casting & Dies in Aluminum Alloys industries. This product has Special binding property for Dies M.S. Tools/ accessories
SP Cote – 140 is specially designed for GDC & Ingot Manufacturing Industries. It give proper insulation & refractoriness to the MS Tools Like Dies, Bowl, Ingot Dies. It gives good surface finish to the Aluminum Gravity Die Casting coatings & Ingots received from the Dies. This diecote gives easily casting ejection properties in GDC process . Generally M.S. Tools / accessories used for handling Molten Aluminium Metal. Mild Steel increases the contanimition of Iron into Liquid Aluminium metal. SP Cote -140 acts as a barrier between liquid aluminium and Mild steel surface of accessories . So this product prevents the contamination of Iron in Aluminum Metal .
Dilute the SP Cote 140 with water in the ratio of 1:2 (S P Cote 140 : water). Mix it thoroughly to uniform liquid. Filter the aqueous product through the thin cloth if necessary. Clean the Die surface, MS Tools etc thoroughly & free from rust, grease. Pre-heat the Die & tools at a Temp.120oC -140oC . Apply the coating by spraying & swabbing application.
Pre-heat the coated tools at a Temp. 130oC ± 10oC to remove the moisture content.
