SP Cote 4250 A is a graphite base lubricant prepared for lubrication of deep draw, difficult release area on die surface and plunger.

SP Cote 4250 A is specially developed for pressure die casting process. In this process molten aluminum is injected into the die cavity at a very high speed. Due to the attack of molten aluminium on die face which results to soldering or welding of castings to the die face. This problem of soldering is more severe in hot spot areas such as in-gates, runners, deep draws, plungers etc. Sp Cote - 4250 A is specially developed in such a way that it gives superior releasing-properties to the castings and anti soldering properties to the die surface which results easy casting release.

  • It gives better surface finish to the casting and good life to the plunger.
  • Due to lubricating property it increases the life of plunger tip.
  • It reduces rejection of the castings due to soldering properties & improves the productivity.
  • Application is smooth due to its better suspension & easily remix properties.
  • It keeps good working conditions due to less fumes.

Initially mix the container properly. Before application of SP Cote 4250.d on the die ensure that die surface is clean. Apply SP Cote 4250 A by brushing or swabbing on plunger tip, on the hot spot & deep draw areas etc. Application frequency depends upon complexity of die.

Always store the material in dry & flameproof area.
