PRODUCT NATURE:- White coloured powder form, This product is highly exothermic so it is recommended for cleaning the melting & holding furnaces.
SP FLUX - 88 is highly exothermic in nature. When the flux spread on the surface of the unladed furnace it reacts with the oxides & other impurities( Corundum) adhared to the wall of the furnace & release the impurities( Corundum) from the surface of the crucible.Corundum is highly insulating in nature lads to increase in consumption of power in induction furnace & decrease the melting area of furnace. SP Flux – 88 is used for removing the Corundum layer from the Furnace.
- Pre-heat the furnace to Red Hot condition i.e. 750 - 800oC
- Sprinkle the SP FLUX - 88 over Red-Hot Aluminium Oxide.
- Wait 5-10 minutes for completion of reaction i.e. with reaction liquid Aluminium trincles out from Aluminium Oxide and accumulates at bottom of furnace.
- Put-on the furnace and heat the furnace again to speed-up the reaction.
- Scrap the layer with the help of M.S. scraper OR any other scrapping tool.
